How to Review Before-and-After Photos

Before-and-after photographs document selected individual cases. Use them to formulate questions about a doctor’s work, not to predict your own result.

Look for context behind the comparison

The most useful context includes the exact procedure, whether other treatments were performed, the time between photographs and the follow-up interval. READY retains the source clinic for each comparison. Where dates or procedure details are not supplied, the gallery says so rather than inferring them from appearance.

Compare the conditions as well as the appearance

Notice camera angle, distance, lighting, expression, makeup and posture. Differences can make a comparison harder to interpret. Ask the clinic for a relevant case series and consistent views during consultation. A photograph alone cannot establish the full treatment course, recovery experience or clinical quality.

Choose examples relevant to your consultation

For a revision consultation, ask whether examples involve comparable earlier procedures and concerns. For a proposed combination of treatments, establish which changes are associated with which procedure. Do not assume that every result on a clinic website was produced by the clinician you will see.

Understand the READY galleries

JNB and Good-Line comparisons come from their international sites. Answer’s collection uses publicly displayed gallery images and retains the clinic’s original labels. Answer’s full case-detail pages require clinic login and are not reproduced here. Images are prepared for web delivery without cropping or retouching the results.

Bring your questions to the clinician

Ask which parts of a result might be relevant to your anatomy and which are not. The clinician should explain expected limitations, alternatives and the range of possible outcomes for your own case. READY does not assign success rates or quality rankings from photographs.
