Prepare for assessment

The areas you want assessed, previous body procedures, relevant health history and your travel constraints.

Explain the changes you want and the features you would prefer to preserve. Ask the clinician to distinguish the options that address your concern from those that would not. Clarify what requires an in-person examination before a plan can be finalized.

Questions for your consultation

  • Which body areas are included in the quotation?
  • How will skin and tissue concerns be assessed?
  • What aftercare and review visits are planned?
  • What happens if I need to remain in Korea longer?

Common questions

Which READY clinics list body contouring?

Good-Line Plastic Surgery, Answer Plastic Surgery. These are clinic-published service listings; individual suitability and the treating surgeon must be confirmed in consultation.

What affects the cost of a liposuction plan?

Ask which body areas are included, whether the plan combines other procedures, and whether compression garments, anesthesia, medicines and reviews are included. Compare written treatment plans rather than an unexplained per-area offer.

What should I clarify before planning my stay?

Ask for the expected review schedule, garment instructions and help you may need after treatment. Distinguish returning to desk work from exercising or taking a flight; the clinician must set your individual restrictions.

GENERAL PROCEDURE INFORMATION

What the procedure involves

Liposuction removes localized fat through small incisions and suction to change body contour. It is not a treatment for obesity and does not remove stretch marks or cellulite. Skin quality and the areas treated affect suitability.

Recovery and follow-up

Compression garments may be required for several weeks. Return to work depends on the extent of treatment and your job; swelling can take months to settle. Ask about movement, exercise and travel separately.

Risks and limitations

Risks include uneven contours, persistent numbness, bleeding beneath the skin and skin-color changes. Serious complications can include blood clots, fluid-related lung problems or injury to internal organs.

Assessing suitability and alternatives

A personal assessment should consider your health, goals, prior treatment and the limits of the proposed change. Ask whether a different approach, postponement or no treatment would better fit your circumstances. The clinician must explain which alternatives are relevant to you.
